Because everyone needs to waste a little time watching a singing gummy bear.

OMFG! It's 102 degrees today. No wonder it felt hot! At least the humidity is only about 30-35 percent. If it was our normal 60-70 percent it would be unbearable. I've heard of two different people lately who moved to Louisiana from Arizona and New Mexico and had to move away after two years because they couldn't take the heat. It usually only gets up in the upper 90s which is way less than the normal triple digits out west. I guess there really is something to that saying, "at least it's a dry heat."

Well, I'm over at InsaneJournal now, too, under okaasan59. I don't like it there, though. My userpic won't show up. I just hope you people don't bounce around too much. *sigh*

Thank you to everyone who replied to my post about Internet Explorer problems. After fruitlessly trying to tweak IE by deleting temp files and cookies, I decided to go with the Firefox. Problem solved!

I thought my computer had been slowing down because of all the pr0n I've been downloading. (*Note to self: copy porn to cd, stat!*) Certain internet pages (especially lj pages with lots of responses/icons) were loading slooooowly, if at all. Then I decided to get on the net using my hubby's Firefox browser. O_O The speed is incredible. So it's not the pr0n, it's Internet Explorer. Or maybe the pr0n has affected Explorer. Anyone got any ideas or helpful hints? Should I just switch to Firefox?

In the morning I am off to the wilds of Orlando with the church youth group for a national convention. I may not be able to check the internets while I'm gone. You guys play nicely until I get back. ^_^

Sure is quiet around here. *listens for the rustling of turning pages*
Oh well, I guess I may as well blather on about my physical ills, or lack thereof. ( My personal fountain of youth? )

How come the rehab in our prisons can't be like this? Clicking the links at the end of the video will bring you more bizareness. I can't help wondering how many of them were coerced into participating. Weird.

So I went to see the HP movie today. I wasn't planning on it, but Shannon and her friend Kimmie were going and she begged me to go with them. I figured that if your teenager asks for your company you shouldn't deny them. ^_^
Anywho, it was a cool movie. I especially liked the scenes in modern-day London. Snape and Lucius were delicious-looking as usual. I didn't read the book so I can't compare.
Speaking of HP books, I may be one of a very few on my flist who isn't planning on hibernating in order to read DH. I only read the first two Harry Potter books and have no real interest in reading the rest. Shannon and Kimmie are heading out to the bookstore in a little while for the big party and to pick up their reserved copies. If I was really cruel I would do all sorts of things to bug them while they try to read tomorrow. ^^

Christ, you know what I'm doing right now? Making up a list of chores for my kids. This is about 10 or 15 years too late. They do stuff when I ask them to but the thing is, they're adults now--I shouldn't have to ask. Especially that lazy-ass 19-year old.
We went out for Greek food for lunch. Several hours later, I got heartburn for the first time in months. (For a while I was battling heartburn daily. Don't know why it suddenly stopped--along with my insomnia. Now I just have arthritis instead. Hm, the weirdness knows no bounds.)

Yesterday, for the first time, I watched the movie Boondock Saints. I have just one word to describe my reaction and that is OMFG!!!!
If you've seen the movie but did not get to watch the deleted scenes, then you missed the absolute best scene of the film! *hint* Nekkid brother butts rolling on the floor together...mmmm*
So anyway...anyone got any good fanfiction to rec? Is there perhaps a GW-Boondock Saints crossover? *chibi eyes*

The best part of the 4th of July is...family and friends. No, wait, it's the food. No, no, it's the Boston Pops! Or maybe blowing shit up. Yeah, that's it. ^_^

I look back on the past two weeks and wonder what I've been doing--endless errands and obligations, that's what. I'm exhausted every night. Can't wait to get off this carousel so ironically called the "lazy days of summer."

Hahaha! My six-year-old niece went to the library with her mom. She picked out a HelloKitty book. Then she told her mom, "this is not for me. It's for Aunt Lori because she loves HelloKitty." ♥♥♥

I was reading some of the entries for the GW Kink Fic Meme...mmm, yummy...and I thought I would post what I'd written for the Meme. My ficlet is more of a humor and dialogue fic so it probably fails in the kink category. But I tried. And after looking over some of the unfilled requests I have the urge to try a few more.
A Kinky Vacation
And here is page one of the GW Anonymous Kink Meme if any of you are interested in reading or perhaps fulfilling one of the requests. I think Muskrit has another post in which writers and requesters have un-anonymoused themselves but it looks like the original meme post is still all anonymous.
